Kim Parrott has worked in the non-profit field for 25 years specializing in major gift cultivation and fund raising. She has consulted with at least 30 non-profit organizations in the areas of major gift development, capital campaign initiatives, cultivation and solicitations, proposal writing, grant applications, marketing, special events, mail campaign strategies, and all related non-profit activities. Non-profit organizations have included medical facilities, social service agencies, environmental agencies, educational institutions, museums, bio-science initiatives, and economic development initiatives. She has successfully raised millions through solicitations, grant applications and proposal writing on a local, regional and national level for capital, programmatic and operational funding.
From 2001—2004, she served as Director of Development for the Foundation for Blind Children in Phoenix. She was responsible for all fund raising and marketing activities including annual fund, major gifts, foundation and corporate grant writing and special events. She developed a major gifts program and planned giving program incorporating board members and community leaders in the raising of funds.
From 1989—2001, Kim served in a variety of positions at the non-profit organization, Sun City Area Interfaith Services, a human services agency in the Northwest valley. She developed their business operations department, implemented accounting and donor management procedures and systems, developed and implemented the development and marketing plan, and raised significant funds through individuals, foundations, corporations and congregations.
